Cash Prizes

Not completely true factions spend more money either my team had over 500 ancient keys ready for this reset and thats just 1 team of 5 people

Although I’ve quit mc, I still regularly check forums and this is 100% true, it’s always factions getting updated, always getting resets, always getting f-top prizes. In the periodic time of Skyblock reset ( Skyblock 5.0. ) factions has reset twice.. yes factions is competitive, but wait. Isn’t Skyblock?

Markey, I suggest pay attention to this as Skyblock is dying real bad. Usually before Skyblock 1 realm was full during the day, now it’s max 45-55 people max during the day. Fix this problem while you can.

Maybe you live under a rock but almost all factions servers give out ftop prizes. If Alex did not add those cash prizes the server would be even more dead than it is. Factions is also what makes the most money on this server; it is the most pay2win subserver. Giving skyblock cash prizes would be completely pointless because all you need to do is get started off and afk for the rest of the time. On factions you need to raid, defend, etc. Yes you can print on factions but that's because there's other things you need to do. Cactus farms on factions are used as a supplement to your income. People make cactus farms during grace period so that they can get money for spawners. Also, cactus farms have been removed from factions so your point about people printing cactus farms is invalid. People now need to plant their own potato/carrot farms. On skyblock, yes you spent 3 months but you had nothing else to be doing. On factions you wouldn't have that time.

Sorry if I was a bit repetitive but I didn't have much time to write this.

EDIT:The ftop prize is already too low. Most factions servers pay out a little less than $1000 ftop weekly to top 3 factions. MCC pays out around $2500 per RESET. Considering that the resets are becoming much closer together (around 1 month factions seasons) most servers pay out a little less that double what mcc pays in the same period of time.

I am completely aware other servers give out cash prizes, not once did i assume they didn't! so please do not put words into my mouth.
What i am saying is i feel as skyblock is also very competitive it would just be nice to give the game something to aim for (like factions).
Not saying i want a $500 prize, but just something to aim for ya know... Cos right now how i see it, everyone should just give up on skyblock and move over to factions ?

Maybe i'm wrong, i don't know, just looking at why Skyblock seems to be dying and what could be coursing it.

I'd love to see prizes on the other subservers. I do think that the reason factions gets more updates etc is because more players use create keys there than on other subservers so it makes sense to update it.

Look, Factions (from a business perspective) makes a lot more money than Skyblock,
While I personally **think** Skyblock is the #2 money maker,
In my eyes, Skyblock isn't the most competitive thing and I could understand if Alex saw it that way,
The truth is PvP gamemodes where kids can brag about their CPS is the place the most money comes.
Do you really want a cash prize if it turns the Skyblock into a toxic s*** show like other sub-servers?

I have to partly disagree with this idea. On factions, people aren't really that friendly, considering they grief, d-trap, and troll at every opportunity they get, in other words, in my opinion, the cash prize has made factions really competitive, willing to do a lot to stop one another from getting the cash prize. As we added this to Skyblock, it might end up the same. No 15% shops, no grinders, and probably no cheap stuff on /ah. However, this is not really different to what is happening now. The players on /is top are paying tons of money to get keys and using them next season to get a boost. Another thing, if the prize is around $100, the winning team would use it to buy more ancient keys, then get /is top again, and again, until it's not fun anymore.

This is just my opinion and not everyone will agree. I like the idea, but some problems might come with it.
