island bank

I think this is a good idea because if you make your island bigger, then you can put more stuff on it and make it more interesting to other payers.

This sounds like it might give too much to the top island players. I've had times where my island bank holds up to 10 mil... with 5% interest thats 500k for just having money sitting around... And thats what my island saves up not trying to fill our bank too much. The top islands could easily start making a load of extra money with no real reason to add it into the server.

I disagree with this, as to @Poclam said it would just give the rich players more. Money is already easy to make out of Skyblock, but this would give people free money out of nowhere for doing nothing. /is bank's point is to share money.

The larger the island is, the lower the interest rate should be. If you have a big is you probably have lot of money to put into is bank. In that case is 10m is deposited and interest has increased, it will be too op. But if 10m is deposited but now the interest has decreased, it will not be as OP. Increasing interest rate will make it too OP to be implemented.

I like this idea as long as it's fair for top players and everyone else, like maybe gaining interest for how long the money stays in the account for, rather than the amount of money you have. It would be hard to work out a way to implement the idea so that it is fair for everyone, which is why I doubt they would even consider it, but nice idea anyway (:

I completely disagree with this idea.

You are almost always better to invest money in a profit item, rather than a pseudo interest gaining bank.

If you have $70,000 - buy a sheep spawner.
If you have $750,000 - buy an IG spawner.

The concept of interest would be completely broken and easily abused.
If you based it on a fixed intrest rate of 5%, I could dump all my money into the bank ($300,000,000 at the moment) and gain $15,000,000 every interest step.
What is stopping me depositing my money every day just before interest comes in?

The way interest works in a lot of banks, is based on the fact that you won't take all your money out, or based on having $x amount of deposits every time frame.
Without a complicated system, this would not be viable at all, it would requier a lot of custom database stuff, as well as

The island bank works as a pseudo shared enderchest, but for money. That's its function, and it does a good job at functioning that way.

I don't believe it needs any extra functionality or perks, as it works as intended and does what it needs to.
